Abstract

Growing awareness of the urgency of climate change mitigation has driven a global shift towards the use of green energy as an alternative to fossil fuels. Green energy is cleaner form of energy that is generated from the renewable sources like solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, biomass that have minimal or zero environmental impact. This is environment friendly as it prevents environment degradation by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, pollution and aids in slowing down climate change. Use of green energy in farming is best means for achieving food security, economic stability, energy security and sustainable environment. Green energy improves economic viability through creation of job opportunities in rural farming communities, provides alternate income through energy export and the stabilization of food prices. Green energy technologies transforms agriculture through sustainable crop production, reduced operation costs and carbon footprint. Hence the use of green energy is sustainable option in   addressing   high   demands   for power in agriculture and fosters productivity, economic and overall climate resilience. Advanced renewable energy technologies play a pivotal role in farming by ensuring sustainable world for the future.
