Author Guidelines | NG Civil Engineering 

General Information

NG Civil Engineering is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality research articles, reviews, and short communications in all areas of Civil  Engineering. The journal aims to provide a comprehensive platform for researchers, academicians, practitioners, and policymakers to share their latest findings, innovations, and insights in the field of Civil Engineering.

Submission Process

  1. Online Submission: Manuscripts should be submitted online through the journal’s submission system. Please ensure that all authors have read and agreed to the submission.
  2. Manuscript Preparation: Follow the template provided on the journal’s website to format your manuscript. Ensure that all sections are included and properly formatted.
  3. Cover Letter: Include a cover letter that briefly explains the significance of your research and why it is suitable for NG Civil  Engineering.

Manuscript Structure

  1. Title Page
    • Title: Concise and informative.
    • Authors: Full names, affiliations, and contact details.
    • Corresponding Author: Email and ORCID ID (optional).
  2. Abstract
    • Provide a clear and concise summary of the study (250 words maximum).
    • Include the context, objectives, methods, main findings, and implications.
    • Use keywords that reflect the main themes, methods, and findings.
  3. Article Highlights
    • List 3-5 key findings or contributions of the study.
  4. Introduction
    • Contextualize the study within the broader field.
    • State the purpose and significance of the research.
    • Review relevant literature and highlight key publications.
  5. Materials and Methods
    • Provide detailed descriptions of procedures and materials.
    • Ensure reproducibility by making all data, code, and protocols publicly available.
    • Include ethical approval details for studies involving humans or animals.
  6. Results
    • Present findings clearly and concisely.
    • Use subheadings, figures, and tables to enhance clarity.
    • Include bulleted or numbered lists where appropriate.
  7. Discussion
    • Interpret results in the context of previous studies.
    • Discuss implications and future research directions.
  8. Conclusions
    • Summarize the main findings and their significance.
  9. Author Contributions
    • Specify the contributions of each author using the provided statements.
  10. Funding
    • Acknowledge funding sources and grant numbers.
  11. Informed Consent Statement
    • Include if the study involves human subjects.
  12. Acknowledgments
    • Acknowledge any support not covered in other sections.
  13. Conflicts of Interest
    • Declare any potential conflicts of interest or state none exist.
  14. References
    • Format references in APA style.
    • Ensure all citations are accurate and complete.

Formatting and Style

  • Font and Size: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font.
  • Line Spacing: Double-spaced throughout the manuscript.
  • Margins: 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • Section Headings: Use the provided styles in the template.
  • Figures and Tables: Place near the first mention in the text. Ensure they are high resolution and clearly labeled.

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is a serious academic offense, and our journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. To ensure originality, we have revised our policy to allow a maximum plagiarism level of 10% or lower for any article to be considered for publication. All submissions will be checked using reliable tools such as Turnitin or iThenticate. If plagiarism exceeds the acceptable threshold, manuscripts will be returned to authors for revision. In the unlikely event that plagiarism is detected in a published article, a thorough investigation will be conducted, and the article may be retracted. Authors are expected to ensure the originality of their work and to properly cite all sources.
