Article Processing Charges
NG Civil Engineering (NGCE) is an open-access journal, meaning all articles are freely available online immediately upon publication.
To support editorial management, peer review administration, copyediting, production, online hosting, website maintenance, and long-term access to published content, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied to accepted manuscripts.
Standard APC: USD 250 per accepted article
Waivers and Discounts
1. Research4Life Country Eligibility
NG Civil Engineering (NGCE) uses the Research4Life country eligibility classification as a reference framework for APC waiver and discount consideration.
- Group A countries → may be considered for a 100% APC waiver
- Group B countries → may be considered for a 50% APC discount
The official list of eligible countries is maintained by Research4Life and updated periodically. Authors may view the current eligibility list here: Research4Life Eligibility
2. Support for Unfunded Authors
NG Civil Engineering understands that not all authors have access to research grants, institutional support, or other funding to cover publication charges.
Authors from any country who do not have funding to cover APCs may request:
- Full waiver (if adequately justified)
- Partial discount
Requests should be made at the time of submission or at the earliest stage of editorial processing, along with a brief explanation of the financial need.
Additional Notes
- No submission fees are charged.
- APCs are charged only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.
- Waiver and discount requests are assessed independently of editorial evaluation.
- The peer review process and editorial decisions are not influenced by the author’s ability to pay APCs.
How to Request a Waiver or Discount
Authors requesting an APC waiver or discount should send an email to editorngce@ngenpub.com with the subject line: APC Waiver Request
Please include:
- Manuscript title
- Submission ID, if available
- Country of residence or institutional affiliation
- Funding status
- Brief justification for the request
