Article Processing Charges

Open Access Policy
NGWR is an open-access journal. All articles are freely available online immediately upon publication. To cover the costs of peer review, editorial handling, production, online hosting, archiving, and indexing, an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies only to accepted manuscripts.

Standard APC
Standard APC: USD 100 per accepted article. There are no apc for articles submitted till 2026.
Note: NGWR does not charge any submission fees. 

Waivers and Discounts

  1. Research4Life Country Eligibility
    NGWR follows the Research4Life program for APC support:

  • Group A (Free Access Countries) → 100% APC waiver

  • Group B (Low-Cost Access Countries) → 50% APC discount
    (The official eligibility list is maintained and updated annually by Research4Life.) 

  1. Support for Unfunded Authors
    Authors from any country who lack grant or institutional funding may request either a full waiver (if justified) or a partial discount. Requests should be made at the time of submission with a brief explanation of funding status.

Subject line: APC Waiver/Discount Request
Include:

  1. Manuscript title and submission ID

  2. Country of affiliation

  3. Funding status (and any supporting documentation)

  4. Brief justification for the request

Transparency & Editorial Independence

  • Waiver/discount decisions are at the editorial board’s discretion.

  • The peer-review process is never influenced by an author’s ability to pay APCs.

  • Accepted APCs help ensure durable open access, professional production quality, and long-term preservation.
