Next Gen World Reviews (NGWR) is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing sustainability through high-quality review articles, mini-reviews, scoping/systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and perspectives. NGWR provides a platform for researchers, educators, practitioners, industry leaders, and policymakers to synthesize evidence, identify knowledge gaps, and inform decision-making for a just, climate-resilient, and resource-efficient world.

Aim and Scope
NGWR welcomes authoritative syntheses across, but not limited to: climate and earth systems; energy and decarbonization; water, oceans, and cryosphere; agriculture, food systems, and land use; circular economy and sustainable materials; biodiversity and nature conservation; urban sustainability and the built environment; public health, equity, and well-being; economics, finance, and business; policy, governance, and law; data, methods, and decision support; education, communication, and extension. The journal prioritizes methodological rigor, clarity, and actionable insights.

Open Access Policy
NGWR is fully open access. All articles are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication—no registration or embargo. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full text.

  • Copyright: Authors retain copyright to their work and grant NGWR a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute under the journal’s OA policy.

Originality and Plagiarism
NGWR does not accept plagiarized content. Authors must ensure submissions are entirely original, with all sources properly cited or quoted. Suspected cases are handled following COPE guidance and the journal’s Originality & Plagiarism policy.

Self-Archiving Policy
Authors may deposit the Version of Record in institutional or subject repositories immediately upon publication, with full citation to the NGWR article, a link to the official version on the NGWR website, and the CC BY 4.0 statement.
