Research was conducted at Guntur in Andhra Pradesh from 2022 to 2024 to assess different irrigation approaches alongside mulching techniques on cashew plant development, along with yield production. The experimental drip irrigation received periodic watering every two days while ring basin irrigation received watering on the fifth day. A randomized block design (RBD) included eight treatments, which had three replications for the experimental layout. The research included different irrigation values (100%, 80% and 60% of the estimated daily water needs) applied through drip irrigation or ring basin irrigation together with or without plastic mulch. Both irrigation methods and plastic mulch application had a significant impact on plant vegetative measures and yield production traits. The combination of plastic mulch and drip irrigation at 100% water volume used as treatment T2 achieved maximum height (4.02 m) along with girth (41.55 cm) and canopy (4.45 m), primary branches (3.60) and secondary branches (13.45) and yield (1.15 t ha-1) when compared to all other treatments. Plant growth and yield obtained maximum improvement when drip irrigation and plastic mulch were used simultaneously since the combined use represents a successful solution for sustainable cashew cultivation in comparable climate regions.
