JSAS is a peer-reviewed open-access journal advancing sustainable agriculture and allied disciplines. We publish research, reviews, and practice-oriented work on agroecology, climate-smart farming, extension, mechanization, livestock, fisheries, policy, and data-driven solutions that improve resilience, equity, and food system sustainability.

Editorial & Review Policies
Peer Review Process

Initial screening by the Editorial Office for scope, originality, and basic compliance.

Double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.

Editorial decision (accept / minor revision / major revision / reject) based on reviewer feedback and editor’s assessment.

Average timelines: Initial decision in [X] weeks; accepted articles published online first within [Y] weeks after final acceptance.

Conflicts of interest must be declared by authors, reviewers, and editors prior to review.
Publication Ethics
JSAS adheres to best practices recommended by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
Author responsibilities include:

Submitting only original work not under consideration elsewhere.

Accurate citation of sources, data, code, and prior publications (including preprints).

Disclosing funding, data availability, and relevant competing interests.

Obtaining ethical approval for studies involving humans/animals and informed consent where applicable.
Editorial responsibilities include: fair evaluation, confidentiality, timely communication, and action on ethical concerns (plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, image manipulation, citation manipulation).
