Originality and Plagiarism

Plagiarism is not acceptable in Journal of Sustainable Agriculture and Allied Sciences (JSAS) submissions. Plagiarized content will not be considered for publication. If plagiarism is identified, JSAS will follow COPE guidelines.

Authors must ensure they have written entirely original work. If authors use the work and/or words of others, these must be properly cited or quoted.

Plagiarism Check Requirements

All submissions to JSAS must adhere to the following plagiarism guidelines (aligned with NG Agricultural Sciences):

  • Plagiarism Threshold: Overall similarity below 10% as reported by Turnitin/iThenticate. 

  • Exclusion Filters that may be applied during screening:

    • Exclude bibliography

    • Exclude quoted text

    • Exclude cited text 

Authors are encouraged to pre-check their manuscripts using reputable similarity tools before submission. Manuscripts that do not comply may be returned or rejected.
