Environment and Energy Informatics is a peer-reviewed open access journal publishing original and interdisciplinary research in environmental systems, energy systems, data-driven sustainability, digital technologies, and computational approaches for sustainable development.
Aim and Scope
Environment and Energy Informatics is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research articles, reviews, and short communications in the interdisciplinary domains of environment, energy, and informatics. The journal aims to provide a comprehensive platform for researchers, academicians, practitioners, and policymakers to share their latest findings, innovations, and analytical approaches that address contemporary challenges in environmental sustainability, energy systems, climate resilience, and digital transformation.
The scope of the journal includes environmental informatics, energy informatics, climate and sustainability analytics, renewable energy systems, smart grids, environmental monitoring, geospatial technologies, remote sensing, Internet of Things applications, artificial intelligence and machine learning for environment and energy, modelling and simulation, environmental decision-support systems, carbon and resource management, and computational tools for sustainable planning.
Environment and Energy Informatics welcomes submissions that address cutting-edge research, innovative technologies, and practical applications at the intersection of environmental and energy sciences with informatics and digital intelligence. The journal is committed to promoting interdisciplinary research and fostering collaboration among scientists, engineers, practitioners, and policymakers to address global environmental and energy challenges through evidence-based and technology-enabled solutions.

Environment and Energy Informatics (EEI) is a fully open access, peer-reviewed journal. All articles are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication, without embargo. No registration is required to read, download, or share content.
EEI adheres to the DOAJ definition of open access. All content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
Authors retain copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full text, crawl the work for indexing, pass it as data to software, or use it for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers.

Originality and Plagiarism
Plagiarism is not acceptable in Environment and Energy Informatics submissions. Plagiarized content will not be considered for publication. If plagiarism is identified, the journal will follow COPE-aligned editorial procedures.

Environment and Energy Informatics (EEI) is committed to long-term digital preservation and permanent access to its published content.
