Aims & Scope
Next Gen Soil and Environmental Research is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to publishing original research, review articles, short communications, and case-based scholarly contributions in the broad fields of soil and environmental sciences. The journal aims to advance scientific understanding and practical solutions related to soil resources, environmental quality, ecosystem sustainability, climate change, pollution management, and sustainable use of natural resources.
The journal provides a platform for the dissemination of high-quality research that contributes to improved understanding and management of soil, water, land, and environmental systems. It welcomes interdisciplinary studies connecting soil science, environmental science, agriculture, ecology, hydrology, climate science, geospatial technologies, and environmental management.
Next Gen Soil and Environmental Research seeks submissions that offer clear scientific contribution, methodological rigor, and relevance to contemporary soil and environmental challenges at local, regional, national, and global levels.
The journal publishes work in, but is not limited to, the following areas:

The journal particularly encourages manuscripts that:
-
address emerging challenges in soil health, land degradation, environmental pollution, climate change, and ecosystem sustainability;
-
demonstrate sound experimental, analytical, modelling, laboratory, or field-based methodology;
-
integrate soil and environmental science with practical applications, management strategies, or policy relevance;
-
apply emerging technologies such as remote sensing, GIS, artificial intelligence, machine learning, sensors, and digital soil mapping to soil and environmental research;
-
contribute interdisciplinary insights across soil, water, climate, agriculture, ecology, and environmental sciences; and
-
offer regional evidence with broader scientific, environmental, or sustainability significance.
Manuscripts that are purely descriptive, lack scientific rigor, or fall outside the scholarly scope of soil and environmental sciences will not be considered.
